Hi there, no doubt, the most interesting thing to me was the planetarium show. It mentioned about we have nowhere to go so far but the earth. Venus is too hot and Mars is too hot to live. Earth is about the right temperature for every life that lives in it. I felt like the protector earth is like mother, no matter what she does, we always take her for granted, untill she dies...and everything will be too late...(I'm listening to Bye bye from Mariah Carey...)
Green Assets
The roof they called "Living roofs", which can absorb rainwater, reducing polluted runoff, and help beat the heat by keeping a building's rooftop and interior cool. Can we make the scale smaller for everyone use? If so, we can really provide a pleasant habitat for both animals and people.
Artificial Selection
This board talks about human takes genetic trait control over nature. We might get what we want in the beginning, but we'll lose more evetually. The board gives an example. Long ago, some wolves adapted to live near humans. Over time, people bred them for traits they valued. Such as the ability to hunt or to guard their flocks. But there's a downside. By selecting for just a few traits, we reduce genetic variation, which can leave some breeds open to disease or deformity. Eventually, we still need to go back to nature, just like we use gene engineering to make GM(genetically-modified) food, but now we all want to buy organic food at Whole food or Trader Joe's.
